Teenage daughter back to school stress

  • My beautiful and talented 14 year old has had a tough year and really does not enjoy school. There are lots of reasons including bullying, few friends, a sense of not fitting in and being different. A few months ago she took some pills and cut herself. She has been in the mental health system and now has a counsellor who she really is getting on well with but she hasn’t seen her over the Christmas break and she is quite stressed about going back to school tomorrow and I ask that she feels at peace, confident and happy.

    Father God,
Let everything I ask for, be Thy will and not mine for you always know what is best. I praise you for Thy unconditional love. I acknowledge that you are able to do immeasurably more than I could ever ask; please do so here for you know Kirstendryad’s daughter, her needs and your plans better than anyone. Please send her your peace, joy, and confidence as well as, the tools, habits, thought patterns, better perspective/out look on life, help her see the bigger better picture, give her what she needs to feel loved, connected, and accepted; clearly show her the talents and gifts you have blessed her with and give her the desire to master them and the opportunities to do so; and to be comfortable in her own skin and space.

Thank you for listening to my prayer. In Jesus’s name I ask. Amen.

Gosh, I understand your feelings. I have a daughter the same age. I’ve heard of some of the bullying that goes on in her school. It saddens me to know that kids are having yo go through this. I am praying for your daughter. Father God I come to you today to lift this young child up as well as all the other children that are going through this. I ask that you protect them from the evilness that some kids will do. I pray that you will give them wisdom, strength, and comfort for them to deal with these situations. All things are possible through you Father God, and we trust in You. Amen.

I too have a beautiful 14 year old that has been experiencing some of the same issues. She also went back to school this week. I pray in Jesus Name that your daughter be filled with a peace that surpasses all understanding. That God fills her with His love, joy, and that the Holy Spirit will guide her in all things. That your daughter will know and have an understanding , If GOD be for her. No one will be against her. I speak these words over my daughter often, “For God has not given us a spirit of fearfulness, but one of power, love, and sound judgment.” 2 Tim 1:7.

Please know that you and your daughter are not alone. I am praying for you both. God Bless and Keep you!
