June 16, 2020 at 1:51 amGood morning, DAB family. I have a personal prayer request regarding my family and me. My wife and I have been married for 9 years and have been together for 17. She truly is my best friend and we have grown up and experienced and endured so much together. However, even at 17 years of age, I have always struggled with curiosity of dating other women and wanting more instead of being grateful for what I have. While I have never physically cheated on my wife, I’m ashamed to admit that I have had evil thoughts of wanting more. It’s the old “grass is greener on the other side” trick the enemy likes to use. Anyway, I am just in dire need of support and prayer to finally let this sin go. I have prayed and repented of my sins, but it seems that the thoughts and the fantasizing return from time to time. If you would please help me pray for everlasting strength, loyalty, gratitude, and peace for what I have, I would greatly appreciate it. I have always wanted to be the Godly man my wife deserves. Thank you.

June 16, 2020 at 6:30 pmGreat prayer request dude, Rob its simple obedience and simple spiritual stubbornness, the devil knows your weakness. Lord bless Rob with supernatural strength in obedience and etch in his heart Proverbs 5 and fill him afresh with desire for his wife Amen
5 My son, attend to my wisdom,
and bow your ear to my understanding,
2 that you may regard discretion,
and that your lips may keep knowledge.
3 For the lips of an immoral woman drip as a honeycomb,
and her mouth is smoother than oil.
4 But her end is bitter as wormwood,
sharp as a two-edged sword.
5 Her feet go down to death,
her steps take hold of Sheol.
6 She does not ponder the path of life;
her ways are unstable, and she does not know it.7 Hear me now therefore, O children,
and do not depart from the words of my mouth.
8 Remove your way far from her,
and do not go near the door of her house,
9 lest you give your honor to others,
and your years to the cruel;
10 lest strangers be filled with your wealth,
and your labors go to the house of a stranger;
11 and you mourn at the last,
when your flesh and your body are consumed,
12 and say, “How I have hated instruction,
and my heart despised reproof!
13 And I have not obeyed the voice of my teachers,
nor inclined my ear to those who instructed me!
14 I was almost in utter ruin
in the midst of the congregation and assembly.”15 Drink waters out of your own cistern,
and running waters out of your own well.
16 Should your fountains be dispersed abroad,
streams of water in the streets?
17 Let them be only your own,
and not for strangers with you.
18 Let your fountain be blessed,
and rejoice with the wife of your youth.
19 Let her be as the loving deer and pleasant doe;
let her breasts satisfy you at all times;
and always be enraptured with her love.
20 Why should you, my son, be intoxicated by an immoral woman,
and embrace the bosom of a seductress?21 For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord,
and He ponders all his goings.
22 His own iniquities entrap the wicked himself,
and he is snared in the cords of his sins.
23 He will die for lack of instruction,
and in the greatness of his folly he will go astrayeclairej2455Prayers: 1Requests: 2
June 18, 2020 at 9:10 amfirst, what you have to want first is not to be “the godly man your wife deserves” – it’s to be the son of the Father that Jesus died to reconcile you to. What does that mean to you? Furthermore, have you ANY idea what it is like to recover from a wrong relationship? Right now you are just struggling with the temptation, which of itself is not a sin. If you ON PURPOSE set aside time to fantasize about a particular person, you have entered in to sin. Aside from repenting, howe do you deal with the temptation? First recognize that it is your flesh, which the blood of Jesus has separated you from; judge yourself by the spirit – you are free! Temptations need to be seen as coming from outside your identity as a child of God – temptation is not sin. When you are plagued with thoughts you don’t want to have, rebuke them, remind yourself it is just your flesh, it is not “you”. Visualize Jesus on the cross making a way for you to give you the right to your spiritual identity. Claim it and change your thoughts. God loves you ALL THE TIME.

June 18, 2020 at 10:18 amStanding in agreement with these prayers for our brother, Rob. Bless him, Lord, for bringing this temptation into the light. Lord, we are reminded that You also were tempted – there is no sin in the temptation. Help Rob follow Your lead in how he responds to the temptation. Let him expect it, stand against it by Your power, order it away in Your Holy Name, listen and sing worship songs. We know the enemy is a liar and the father of lies, he cannot stay where Your name is spoken. Also, Lord, bring an older, spiritually mature man into Rob’s life who can help him walk this path with integrity. Blessings

June 20, 2020 at 10:37 amContinuing to pray…Lord, help Rob realize that this is an area of weakness for him and one that the enemy will come at him again and again. Strengthen our brother to be on guard, every day, and to be prepared for battle. Lord, remind him of things that he can do to put on Your armor. Help him to actively pursue the idea of avoiding evil AND avoiding the appearance of evil.

June 21, 2020 at 8:55 amThank you all so very much for the sound, Godly advice! I have received so much clarity from the Lord this week. It’s almost as if He has reminded me of my blessings by saying, “Everything you have ever wanted is already in front of you, Rob.” I praise the Lord for that and thank HIM for your prayers and biblical advice. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
