December 17, 2022 at 12:37 pmGod is glorified through healing.
If we want to be effective in ministering healing, or receiving healing, we need to believe that God wants to heal. Our own faith may waiver if we’re not convinced God wants to heal. Knowing that God always receives glory✨when He heals encourages us to believe God for healing, and also to have proper motives in bringing healing to others.
God wants to heal so men will give glory ✨ unto Him. To not honour God and give Him glory ✨ is the first step in a downward spiral of sin (cf Romans 1:20-32).goingupsoonPrayers: 20097Requests: 1132
December 17, 2022 at 12:42 pmIn John 11:4, it clearly states that a purpose for healing is solely to bring glory ✨ to God. In regards to the raising of Lazarus from the dead, Jesus said:
… “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory ✨ of God, that the Son of God may be glorified ✨ by it.” John 11:4

December 17, 2022 at 12:45 pmLet’s praise the Lord! To God be the glory, great things He hath done; So loved He the world that He gave us His Son, Who yielded His life an atonement for sin, And opened the life gate that all may go in. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, Let the earth hear His voice! Hallelujah!

December 17, 2022 at 12:49 pmSome make the mistake of thinking the sickness itself was for God’s glory. ✨ Rather, it was the healing (resurrection) that brought Him glory! ✨ Another secondary purpose of raising Lazarus was to verify that Jesus is the resurrection and the life (verse 25). But Jesus’ own words spell out the reason clearly. To further confirm this, verse 40 reiterates this truth:
“Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you, if you believed, you will see the glory ✨ of God?” – John 11:40

December 17, 2022 at 12:58 pmAnother Scripture which describes healing and miracles as a means of bringing glory ✨ to God is Acts 3:12-13:
“But when Peter saw this, he replied to the people, “Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this, or why do you gaze at us, as if by our own power or piety we had made him walk? The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has (glorified✨ His servant Jesus), the one whom you delivered up, and disowned in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release Him.” Acts 3:12-13 (the healing of the lame man at the beautiful gate).

December 17, 2022 at 1:02 pmIt had the desired results in that the people glorified ✨ God for the healing.
“And when they had threatened them further, they let them go (finding no basis on which they might punish them) on account of the people, because they were all glorifying ✨ God for what had happened.”- Acts 4:21

December 17, 2022 at 1:10 pmThere are other Scriptures which demonstrate that people glorified ✨ God when healings and miracles took place, such as the following:
“And a great multitude came to Him, bringing with them those who were lame, crippled, blind, dumb, and many others, and they laid them down at His feet; and He healed them, so that the multitude marvelled as they saw the dumb speaking, the crippled restored, and the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they (glorified ✨ the God) of Israel.” – Matthew 15:30-31

December 17, 2022 at 1:19 pm“But in order that you may know that the Son Of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins, “–He said to the paralytic — “I say to you rise, and take your stretcher and go home.” And at once he rose up before them, and took up what he had been lying on, and went home, (glorifying ✨ God). and were all seized with astonishment and began (glorifying✨ God); and they were filled with fear, saying, “We have seen remarkable things today.” – Luke 5:24-26
“And fear gripped them all, and they began (glorifying ✨ God, saying, “A great prophet has arisen among us!” and, “God has visited His people!” – Luke 7:16

December 17, 2022 at 1:25 pmAnd Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight, your faith has made you well.” And immediately he regained his sight, and began following Him (glorifying ✨ God); and when all the people saw it, (they gave praise to God).” – Luke 18:42-43
“And as He was now approaching, near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to (praise God joyfully) with a loud voice for all the miracles which they had seen.” – Luke 19:37

December 17, 2022 at 1:35 pmDo you believe this? If we believe that God wants to be glorified ✨ through healing, and also believe that people will respond by glorifying ✨ Him when healings and miracles take place, then it ought to increase our faith that God wants to heal, as well as our desire to see healings occur! We ought to be excited that God wants to use us through healing, to evangelize the lost!
This is a reminder to watch our attitude! Perhaps we should ask ourselves why we want God to heal. Perhaps our desire for Him to heal may not be quite as noble as we think! Sometimes we want Him to heal for the following wrong reasons.

December 17, 2022 at 1:43 pmSo people will think we are important. We want people to think that we, or our church, is special, because of the miracles that take place. In other words, we want the glory!✨ But God wont share the it!!
So people won’t doubt our faith or spirituality. We may fear that if a healing doesn’t happen when we lay hands on the sick people will doubt us, question our spirituality, or doubt oue claims that God heals. This really is saying that we don’t what to look foolish if God doesn’t heal!

December 17, 2022 at 1:53 pmThe LORD isn’t really that concerned about reputations. He hasn’t really defended His own reputation, although a time will come when the truth about Him will be clear to all! He even allowed the apostles to be spectacles before the entire universe (1 Corinthians 4:9-13)
“For I think, God has exhibited us apostles last of all, as men condemned to death; because we have become a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to men.” 1 Corinthians 4:9
So what makes us think that our reputations are that important in the long run? As one person implied, his perspective on praying for the sick was this, he won’t try and take the credit when people are healed, and he won’t have to take the blame when they aren’t … let God handle both!

December 17, 2022 at 1:58 pmRemember. All that we have and are, come from God. All that we have is a gift from God. It is all grace!
“Every good thing bestowed and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation, or shifting shadow.” – James 1:17
…” for apart from Me you can do nothing.” – John 15:5

December 17, 2022 at 2:05 pmConsequently, we ought to make every effort to give God glory✨ in everything. We must guard continually against focusing on man or self. We must never stoop to bragging of boasting, even in the most humble fashion. To the same degree seek to glorify ✨ God, to the same degree He will respond with the tools to do so … healing, and other signs and wonders!
To God be the glory! ✨
