Due to the severity of the pain, I made the decision to go to an orthopedic urgent care. I’m glad I did. Although I was correct on having shin splints, they’re is also a possibility that I have a small stress fracture in my left leg. I was told to stay off of my leg as much as possible and to walk with a cane when I am on it. This makes giving my guide dog Lester a good quality of life very difficult. I’m not sure what to do with regards to Lester, as I can barely walk to class or across the dorm comfortably with the cane. Western needs exercised, etc. daily, and I don’t have the stamina right now. I will be getting an MRI sometime in the next couple of weeks to get a definite answer on what is wrong. Prayers are deeply needed.

Quick update: I have found a couple of people who are willing to help with Lester. Now I just need to figure out what’s actually wrong with my leg and get it treated. Praying I get called to schedule MRI today.
