Genesis 1:31. Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.  I live in the UK & therefore our currency is the English pound. The pound is how we measure the value of our material goods. I once heard it said, that if you take a new, clean, crisp ten pound note & ask yourself it’s value, the answer would be ten pounds. If you then scrunch it up & ask yourself the value of the note, the answer remains the same, ten pounds. It’s value has not diminished because of it’s present condition & therefore the value of the note is consistent.  The first chapter of Gensis lays out the beginning’s of creation & how God rejoiced over the work of His hands, saying repeatedly that it was good. God values His creation & verse 26 clearly defines our origin, having been made in the image of God, we all reflect His likeness. Verse 31 then goes on to say what God said about His finished creation, having made mankind in His image. The Lord said, “Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good.” Sometimes we can feel invisible in life but the One who created us, also see’s us. And He says, “you are awesome in the way I have put you together.” On occasions we may feel crumpled like the ten pound note but this doesn’t subtract from our value. Our Father see’s His image within us & smiles upon the one He has formed, hand crafted & framed to be His own.
