Wanting to draw close to God

Hi I’m new to this app my name is Gavin I just want to say I have been having trouble drawing close to God I always want to but some days I drift away I also want to say my siblings don’t read the bible very well I want them to but I don’t know how to talk them into it and I want to be consistent in prayer and reading the bible thanks -Gavin
June 12, 2020 at 5:21 pmGavin in James 4:8 James tells us to draw near to God and this comes with an additional promise, that God will respond by moving close to us. It is a wonderful response to us stepping in his direction. It goes on to call us to turn from our sin and resolve to serve God. If you just take the first step, call on his name, tell him you want a more intimate relationship with him you will find that is the longing of his heart as well.
June 12, 2020 at 6:26 pmThank you Father that you see Gavin. And see his desire to come close to you. Show him that drawing close to you is as simple as making our minds up to do so. There is no one way either. Just having a conversation with you is one way. Praying is another. Spending time reading your Word is another way. There’s listening to music, or even just being still.
One thing is certain Lord, however we choose to approach you. You will always meet us there. Lord help Gavin today, and tomorrow, and everyday following. to make his way into your presence. And as he dose, i thank you Lord that you will be there waiting him.In Jesus! name.
