January 26, 2017 at 12:38 amThis past September my former wife divorced me. It’s become clear that I will only see my 7 yr. old grandaughter every 3 months. My heart aches that the family life I had with my granddaughter and my 33 yr. old has evaporated.
I started to date a woman who is certain that we have a long term relationship, in the future. While, I enjoy time with her I’m concerned that we are not tuned to the same spiritual wavelength. I’m uncertain about my own convictions and desire to yield my will to our Father God.
Lastly, there are times when I grieve for the lost marriage and still don’t have clarity why my former wife left me. I know I had some risky financial choices during a career transition.
Please cry out to God with me for spiritual eyes, healing for emotional wounds, wisdom, faith and soft heart to obey when God unfolds His plan for this next season of life.SheilaTPrayers: 2920Requests: 24
January 26, 2017 at 1:29 pmBrother Stan,
I feel your pain and yes indeed you have asked for very important things-Wisdom, Lord’s Guidance, Faith, Obedience and Strength
As you know it is never God’s desire that we divorce. In this case your wife chose to divorce you. Have you tried to reach out to her ? is there any communication? Is she remarried? – Whatever the case may be God’s desire is to ALWAYS see a strong family unit. We have an enemy who has come to Steal, KILL and destroy marriages and we have to stand against him in the name of Jesus!Regarding your current relationship I will tell you this as a Sister in Christ ( Yield to the Holy Spirit, You cannot go wrong) . If this woman is an unbeliever I will tell you in honestly to be very careful since you can easily be pulled down and your situation will be WORSE than it is already. At the same time if she claims to be born again BUT her ways are not in line to what JESUS teaches us then I will say flee my brother lest you get burnt ( we are learning this in the proverbs).
Let us pray.Dear Lord Jesus ,
Thank you for the gift of life and family. Thank you for your love towards us even when we sin and fall short of your glory.
I pray for your supernatural intervention in Brother Stan’s life. I pray that you will REMOVE anything in his life that does not bring you Glory. I pray that you will make a path in the wilderness that he is in right now. Open his spiritual eyes, give him discernment , wisdom and a repentant heart. Heal his wounded spirit and help him to forgive those who have hurt him.You know his heart’s deepest desires and Lord you have promised us in Mathew 6:33 that if we seek your kingdom and your righteousness, then ALL THESE THINGS shall be added to us. So today I pray that you will put a deep hunger in Stan to seek you and upon his obedience you will make a way for him.
Lord I pray for his wife that left him, make a way for communication between them… please . Remove any obstacle that the enemy has planted. PARALYZE and DESTROY every work of the enemy against this family in the name of Jesus!!. Pour out your spirit upon Stan and may he feel your anointing. May He sense your presence and be sensitive to your Holy Spirit.
Give Stan Wisdom and as you do so he will get a new fulfilled life.
In Jesus name I pray
Amen!!

January 28, 2017 at 4:57 pmHi Stan,
Thank you for your post. I know of the hurt and loss you speak of…….and I know God hears and sees the cry of your heart. My encouragement to you would look on line for a DivorceCare meeting site near you. This ministry changed my life. So much so, I currently facilitate. As you “contend” as Brian talked about today, you will find God in a fresh way, and you will find a hopeful way forward. This is a journey we are on. There are some deep waters you may need to walk thru. The DivorceCare videos, workbook and group discussion will help you so much to understand what has just happened to you and the way forward.
I will be praying for you.
Clinging to the Cross,
Chris
